Harald Bauder ist Professor am Fachbereich Geographie und Umweltstudien sowie im Graduiertenprogramm für Immigration und Ansiedlungsstudien an der Toronto Metropolitan University. Zu seinen Fachgebieten gehören kritische Grenzstudien, Staatsbürgerschaftsimmigrationspolitik in Kanada und Deutschland, das Verhältnis zwischen Neuankömmlingen und Einheimischen sowie Solidarity Citys. Er ist Leiter des Soli*City Partnership Project.
